Old shows, new shows, my shows

Shows that we are waiting for the next season, or shows that we are waiting for the premiere's.

Supernatural Season 9 Finale

OMG. I don’t know what to say. I don’t want to give anything away if you haven’t watched it yet, so be warned. Like usual, Supernatural as to take off in a way you didn’t expect. First with the mark of Cain being transferred to Dean and the Angel that went into Sam becoming brain washed by Metatron to kill people, like Kevin.Well I figured the point of the mark of Cain was for Dean to kill Abaddon, which he did, and then once Abaddon is dead then he would move on to killing Metatron and that would be the finale.

Well the show down happened but instead of Dean saving the world and killing Metatron, Metatron stabbed Dean in the chest with one of the Angel Blades. I think I gasped louder than I have before with Supernatural then I waited, assuming that Cas was on the way. But he didn’t show up and Dean died in Sammie’s arms. I was shocked I didn’t start crying, but for once I was composed, lol. Normally that’s the cliff hanger but not this time, the show continued.

At the end it shows Dean lying dead on a bed and Crowley comes popping in. Talking to Dean Crowley tells him that he wasn’t expecting this to happen to Dean but at the same time he isn’t shocked, then he started telling Dean to open his eyes. Wait a minute, he’s dead, he can’t open his eyes. OH YES HE CAN. In the last second Dean opens his eyes to reveal, black Demon eyes.

I know that Supernatural is going to be back this fall, and it is going onto it’s 10th Season, and I love the show but really when is this going to end. I remember them saying they were going to end the season after I think Season 5 or 6, I’m just having a brain fart right now and now we’re going on to the 10th season. I enjoy it, I love it, but I don’t want to see become stupid. We’ve already done Demons; Angels; Lucifer; Lilith; Metatron; Mark of Cain; The four horsemen of the Apocolypse. What else is there??

We will see this fall.

Does anybody else's tear ducts swell the moment they see this and the song Carry on my wayward son by Kansas starts, mine do, every single season lol

Witches of East End (reruns leading up to July 6th @9pm on Lifetime)

Promo 1

Promo 2

I don’t know how popular this show has become since it airs on a small channel called Lifetime, but I love it. It’s like Charmed, just an updated version with only two sisters not three. I completely recommend this show if you love those guilty pleasures shows, like Pretty Little Liars (Yup that is mine). I’m not sure what to expect with the upcoming season but I know I can’t wait.

This show is also based on the book The Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz. I have not read it myself, so I don’t know how true to the book it is but it is on my list to read.

Bitten (reruns are currently playing on Space and Syfy)

So Bitten has just been picked up from Space and now Syfy for the second season. I follow Kelley Armstrong (the author who wrote the books that the show is based on) and she or her assistant wrote that after all the feedback from the fans about the first season they are going to follow more closely to the books for the second season which is based on the second book in The Women of the Otherworld series called Stolen. In Stolen Elena is kidnapped and imprisoned in a prison for supernaturals where she meets a young witch named Savannah. Savannah is a very powerful witch but there is something else about her. I’m not going to give it away, lol. Well as Clay and the other remaining pack members try to find Elena she takes things into her own hands trying to escape taking Savannah with her.
So we will see. They haven’t given a Season 2 premiere date but I’m expecting early 2015.

Penny Dreadful (Showtime Sunday’s @10pm)

Well I just happened by chance to come across the trailer for this new show on Showtime and wow. It looks dark and creepy and it’s got all the good things supernatural shows have. Frankenstein and his monster, vampires, séances, Dorian Gray and a clairvoyant front runner Eva Green. I have never been a big fan of hers I always thought she looked weird and there was just something about her I didn’t like and that was until 300 – Rise of an Empire. She rocked it as the strong, cut throat leader Artemisia and now as Vanessa Ives in Penny Dreadful she’s great at bringing the psychic creepiness that some psychics can bring.

I’m only three episodes in and so far so good. Also I forgot to add two things (1) Josh Hartnett is back playing an American gunslinger, where has he been all this time, and (2) Billie Piper playing Brona Croft, for those who don’t know Billie, she played Rose in Doctor Who and was and still is my favourite companion of the Doctor.

Give this show a shot, it looks promising.

Salem (Sunday nights @10pm on Space)

WGN’s first attempt at a scripted show, Salem brings Shane West back to the small screen. When I looked into this show after seeing the first trailer on Space I thought hmmm; a different take on the Salem Witch trials, this looks promising.

I watched the first episode a day after it premiere, thank you PVR. And I was shocked to see Shane West, but truthfully that intrigued me more. I thought the premise of having the witches in control in Salem was an interesting take. The witch in control Mary Sibley uses her powers of manipulation to control who is outed as a witch. It’s crazy to see that all they have to do is point a finger and saw someone is a witch and that’s it, they are hung, burnt or whatever. I’m interested in to see where they go with this. Stay tuned

Dominion (starting June 19th @ 9pm on Syfy)

Syfy has decided to take the movie Legion and make that into a TV show. I loved the movie and I’m interested in the possibility of the show but I’m not sure.

Apparently this takes place after the movie, when Arch Angel Gabriel rages war against the humans with Angel Michael (was played by Paul Bettany in the movie) stays fighting for the humans.

We will have to see how this goes???

The Strain (July 13th @ 10 on FX)

Now this one I’m really looking forward to. This from Guillermo del Toro so it’s gotta be good right?? Well we’ll see. This show is about vampires, not sparkly vampires, murderous, blood hungry vampires.

Perfect. In this show there is a breakout of vampirism and how the CDC is trying to fix it.

I think this will be interesting. There is nothing wrong with suave vampires like Miles (from my novel Pawn of The Lilly Reed Series) and Louis from Interview with a Vampire. But I do love blood thirsty vampires too. Can’t wait to check this show out.!!!

Well if there any shows that I forgot, or bypassed, please leave me a note and I will check it out.

Week of Feb 10th to 16th

So overall not a too crazy week in my world. Work, sleep, repeat, boo!! But The Walking Dead is back and that's a plus, a big plus. So here we go!!

1. The Walking Dead
We have two episodes to get through
Episode 9

This was the mid-season premiere of Season 4. I really hated that we had to wait so long but I'm happy it's not as long of a wait as the show Sherlock (2 years between Season 2 and Season 3). This episode focused on the aftermath of the Prison being taken over by walkers. Everybody gets separated and we come across Rick and Carl. Carl is beyond pissed off a Rick, who is beaten and severely injured from his fight with the Governor. They find refuge in a house and surprise Carl doesn't stay where he's supposed to and Rick couldn't do anything due to succumbing to his injuries (well at the time you may think he dies but he's Rick, he's good). Carl like usual does things he's not supposed to which means he gets trapped and almost bitten by Walkers but he manages to escape and it concludes with him almost shooting Rick due to thinking Rick is dead, then there was a knock on the door.

Episode 10

This episode opens with Beth and Darryl. They are just wandering around trying to not get bit without any intended destination. Next you come across the little girls from the jail and the big guy Tyreese and Tyreese turns and you see that he has Judith, thank goodness. Judith keeps crying which brings the Walkers closer and closer and Tyreese runs off to help some other people and that's when Carol finds the girls and Judith. They find out that there is a town up ahead off the tracks offering a safe place. That's the way they headed. Next was Glenn. I though at the mid season finale he was on the bus but apparently he got off the bus going back for Maggie and he wakes up on top of a broken bridge surrounded by Walkers. He makes it back into the jail where he loads up with his SWAT gear and heads out and finds a girl from the Governors group. They both leave searching for others. Maggie, Sasha, and Bob find the bus completely filled with Walkers. Maggie thinks the worst that Glenn is on there so they let the Walkers out and she finds out the good news.

2. So after reading my blog entry last week over I noticed that I forgot Supernatural. I can't believe I would forget my boys.

So like usual Sam and Dean are fighting. In the first episode of the Season Sam was dying due to the trials from last season. Sam was gravely ill and Dean did what he had to to save him. An angel said that he could possess Sam and heal him and once Sam was healed he would leave. The Angel who gave a false name lied, who knew Angels could lie. Sam did get better slowly but the Angel still had some control. While the boys did their normal case work Castiel, who is now human, went out on his own. He started working at a Variety Store and he even ended up getting laid, you go Case, you go. LOL. Well Case ended up stealing another's Angel's grace and became one of the Angels again. Now as Sam and Dean solved cases Crowley who is imprisoned at their lair helped from the side lines. No I know Crowley is a bad guy but I love Crowley, he's hilarious. The Angel that possessed Sam started working with Metatron, who is a bad guy, and poor Kevin got stuck in the crossfire.

3. Bitten
Episode 6

At the end of the last episode Elena went back to Toronto for her boyfriend's sister's wedding. While she was there Clayton and Jeremy had an unwelcome guest who tried to challenge Jeremy for Pack King. Jeremy won and he got Clayton to rip out the mutt's teeth. Clayton, who is trying to become more of a man than werewolf, for Elena to win her back called her upset with what he was doing and that pulled on my heart strings a little. Daniel Santos, one the of rogue mutts, showed up to the wedding. He has some fascination with Elena, and I get it she's the only female werewolf.
Now to go off the show. I've read the books and I have noticed that they have stayed somewhat true until this one. I knew that this would happen, this always happens with books that are made into movies and tv shows, they all go off at some point. Now I'm fine with it, I want to see where it goes but I was on Facebook today and since I follow Kelley Armstrong (the writer of the book series) she mentioned the back lash for Saturday's episode. People you know how this goes, movies and TV shows rarely stay true to the books and if they did they would be incredibly long. It would be nice but it's just not plausible. So watch it and don't judge it until the end. :)

4. Being Human
I totally recommend this show for lovers of the supernatural and paranormal world. You get a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf living together, it's great. Josh and Nora end up throwing a impromptu baby shower for their new werewolf friends but it turns out to be a big raging party for a pack of werewolves. Josh's sister, who is a recovering alcoholic, shows up and starts to have a panic attack since she's trying to stay away from alcohol. With all the werewolf people there it gets a little awkward when Aidan and Kenny show up drunk on blood and that's when the party gets started. Aidan is all depressed because him and Kat broke up but it was funny watching Aidan all care free. Now Sally, who should not be doing any magic at all, decides to try to help Josh's sister she gets sent back to the roaring 20's and see's a side of Aidan that she never wants to see again.

5. Robocop

Okay so on Saturday when we were at the theatre the plan wasn't Robocop but it was on. I was never a huge fan of the first one and I really had no desire to watch this one other than on video later on but I did. I wouldn't consider this as a remake more of a reboot, or re-imagining of Robocop. The story is kind of similar but at the same time not a all. I'm pretty sure in the first Robocop his family dies well this one their still alive. I think the common thing was in both movies Murphy a.k.a Robocop is a good cop and follows the rules and ends up dealing with the wrong people and dirty cops.
The movie was okay, the parts where they show what is left of him in human ways was completely unbelievable and a little stupid but the action parts of the movie were decent. I've seen better but I have seen worse. So if you end up at the theatre and there is nothing else on in the action movie department, watch it and judge for yourself.

Until next week, toodles.

Supernatural Season 8 Episode 12

Supernatural Season 8

Episode 12 As Time Goes By

So this episode opens with a guy maybe from the early fifties tucking his son into bed then heading off to some ceremony of sorts. At this ceremony everybody gets murdered by a demon (bigger shocker right, lol) except for the guy in the above picture with Sam and Dean. This Henry makes a spell on the wall in blood and jumps through this portal holding a box that was given to him to protect from the demon Abaddon. Henry lands in present time flying through the closet door of Sam and Dean Winchester's crappy motel room. Henry keeps telling them that he needs to speak with John Winchester (Sad face). The boys tell him that John is dead and that's when we find out that Henry is John's father which makes him Sam and Dean's grandfather. Abaddon finds a way to follow Henry to present time where the chase and fight continues. We find out that the box that Henry has is the key to deciphering all scrolls, spells and surprisingly tablets. Sadly Grandpa Henry doesn't make it and he dies protecting the boys by killing ( well sort of) Abaddon. I feel kind of bad for those boys because they don't have much luck in the family department do they.

Until next time Winchester lovers :)

Supernatural Season 8 Episode 10 Torn and Frayed

Supernatural Season 8 Episode 10 Torn and Frayed

Episode 10 Torn and Frayed

Naomi, who I think is up to no good, informs Castiel that Crowley holds an angel captive and he must save him so that Crowley doesn't learn their secrets. Castiel asks for Dean's help, who is alone because Sam is beyond pissed off at Dean for sending him away telling him that Amelia needs help. Amelia shows up at the hotel that Sam is staying at and after reconnecting on the bed Amelia asks him to chose whether to stay with her or never contact her again.

Until next week Supernatural Fans :)

Supernatural Season 8 Episodes 6-9

Supernatural Season 8 Episodes 6-9

Okay Recap of episodes 6-9 of my lovely Winchester Boys :)

Episode 6 - Southern Comfort

Sam and Dean team up with Garth, who has taken over Bobby's job as the Hunter go to guy, as they hunt down a Specter that's possessing innocent people who have a grudge against someone.
It was kind of sad seeing Garth taking over Bobby's job but someone had to do it since Dean was in purgatory and Sam was playing house with the vet.

Episode 7 - A Little Slice of Kevin

Sam and Dean are surprised to discover that Castiel has escaped from Purgatory, but doesn't remember how. Meanwhile, Kevin and his mother turn to a witch for help against Crowley but she betrays them to the King of Hell.
I'm so happy that Castiel is back because I love him and all the lovely awkward things he says sometimes.

Episode 8 - Hunteri Heroici

Now since Castiel is back and now that he has decided on becoming a hunter Sam and Dean take on a case with Castiel. Castiel who has his own ways of trying to figure out what happened Sam and Dean realize they are dealing with someone from their past who has special abilities. However, they discover that the murder is only the latest in a string of cartoon deaths.
This was a neat episode seeing things like a heart beating through at chest, or someone being crushed by an anvil. Plus seeing Castiel interrogating a cat was also pretty funny.

Episode 9 - Citizen Fang

Sam, who doesn't trust Dean's friend Benny the vampire, asks a friend, hunter Martin Creaser, to track Benny just to be on the safe side. However, when Martin gets word of a vampire kill in Benny's neighborhood, he takes things into his own hands, forcing Dean to make a tough choice. Who is he going to pick? Benny, his friend from purgatory or Martin, a long time hunter ally?

Well Supernatural is back tonight so more to follow my fellow Winchester lovers

Supernatural sum up of episodes 2-5

Supernatural

Okay so I know I haven't been on here weekly to give you updates and my thoughts on the episodes of our favourite supernatural and paranormal shows but I've been busy and I know that's no excuse but I am going to try to sum up everything that happened in the last five episodes.

Season 8 Episode 2 What's Up, Tiger Mommy?

Sam and Dean find Kevin's mom in dire straits surrounded by demons. After rescuing her they take her to find the tablet. They come across a auction of sorts and try bidding against other demons and even a angel for the tablet. To make things more interesting Crowley (who I just love) decides to throw Kevin in the deal since he is the only one that can actually read the tablet. Just when Sam and Dean think they can't save Kevin, Kevin's mom bids her soul to free her son. After the demons take her soul Kevin becomes angry with the Winchester boys and runs off.

Season 8 Episode 3 Heartache

Dean and Sam investigate two bizarre murders in two different cities where the victims' hearts were ripped out. The brothers catch up to the killer but discover that he is in a trance and mumbling words in an ancient language. Sam who is reluctantly back to hunting with Dean misses his life when Dean was in purgatory.

Season 8 Episode 4 Bitten

While searching for a werewolf killer, Sam and Dean find some video footage of three students who encountered the werewolf... and one of them were bitten and infected. One of the students becomes jealous of the other with their new life that he becomes one himself.

Season 8 Episode 5 Blood Brother

When Benny, the vampire that helps Dean escape purgatory, gets injured hunting down his Maker, he calls on Dean for help. Dean abruptly leaves Sam in the lurch, saying he has personal business. While he waits, Sam remembers how he and Amelia bonded, and how he was finally able to feel like he belongs in the real world away from hunting.

Well I hope that I won't forget to update my blog since I'm going to be pretty busy for the next month or so but I will check in. :)

Supernatural Season 8 Premiere

The boy are back!!!

Supernatural Season 8 Episode 1

For anyone who has never watched this show it's about two brothers Dean & Sam Winchester who follow their father's footsteps as "hunters" fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth.

So at the end of last season as Sam and Dean were fighting the Leviathans trying to get rid of them but the outcome was what they wanted. Some how Dean and Castiel got sent to purgatory.

The premiere episode of the 8th season happens one year later where Sam has moved on not hunting anymore and Dean escapes purgatory with one of the Leviathans. Dean told Sam that Castiel died in purgatory which is sad becuase I love Castiel. Also because of Sam giving up hunting the new prophet Kevin Tran continously calls Sam for help after escaping Crowley's hands with the tablet that tells the prophet how to rid the world of demons for good. Dean finds the messages from Kevin so they go after him and find him hiding out in a church. Crowley shows up with Kevin's girlfriend saying that he won't kill her if Kevin hands over the tablet but Kevin escapes with Sam and Dean but his girlfriend doesn't, *SPOILER* Crowley snaps her neck.

Overall it was an okay episode. Hopefully the rest of the season gets better but even though if it sucks I will probably still watch it. I love my Winchester boys, especially Dean. I'm a Dean girl. Team Dean. LOL

Until next week my Supernatural buddies :)
