Ok, so let's talk The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale, Being Human Series Finale and Bitten Season 1 Finale

Hmmm, which one should I start off with. Let's go with The Walking Dead.

Before we go too far, if you haven't watched any of these Finale's and don't want any spoilers, come on back when you have, and don't say I didn't warn you!!

Who will make it to Terminus?

Should be called Hell

So for the last part of this season we have all the different survivor groups: Maggie, Sasha and Bob; Rick, Carl and Michonne; Glenn and Tara; Tyrese, Carol, Lizzie and Mika; Daryl and Beth. Making their way to find each other and to Terminus. This Terminus has maps posted telling survivors to make their way there for safe living. Well I'm not so sure of that. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is and surprise with this Terminus there is a foul taste with it. With Beth missing Daryl kind of joins this group of bikers who are on the search for someone that killed on of their friends and that is Rick. They find Rick, Carl and Michonne and Daryl offers to take the place of Rick. The bikers start to kick the crap out of Daryl, holding guns to Rick and Michonne while some pervert tries to rape Carl. Rick cracks and ends up getting the upper hand and bites into the guys neck killing him and saving everybody else. Glenn following the instructions that Maggie is leaving for him telling him that she's heading towards Terminus, Glenn starts through this bridge and was him and Tara crawl over Tara's foot get's caught and the walkers are coming. Glenn wouldn't leave her and suddenly the walkers get shot and that's when Glenn realizes it's Maggie and they have a sweet reunion, yes I cried lol. Their group continues on to Terminus and that's all we see. Then Rick, Carl and Michonne with Daryl show up and it was strange, and unnerving. Rick knew immediately that something was off and he was right. They try to leave but they are herded like animals to this area that has old train cars and by gun point they are herded inside one of them and find the other survivors of the prison raid.

 Run!!!!
 The aftermath
Do not trust him.

Don't know what to expect from the next season but I can't wait to find out.

Bitten Season 1 Finale

Together once again

So I've probably mentioned that I am a huge fan of the books and this season of Bitten has had it's up and downs. The upside side is I find it interesting enough to tune in every week, plus I love the guy that plays Nick, and the chemistry between Elena and Clay has gotten better and even though Clay is not the Clay from the books the guy that plays him is kinda hot. Downsides are they killed Antonio, which doesn't not make sense, they focused on the Elena and Philip relationship but I guess that helps build the story. I found it went too far off the books but I knew getting into this show that it wouldn't be exact. With the finale it was nice seeing Clay and Elena make up and get back together, and Victor Olsen getting his just desserts. I liked the fact the Logan disappeared with his annoying girlfriend and I hope that if they do make a second season that those two don't come back.

The Pack finally face off against the Mutts but on their terms and their property. Daniel Santos's main objective is getting Elena and probably killing Clay. Carl Marsden decided on making a deal with the pack to survive. Even with Clay being under the weather due to Santos torturing him, the pack wins. And that's when we find out that the man behind everything was not Santos but it was Malcolm Danvers, Jeremy's dad, who they thought was dead.

 Santos you ass
 Take that asshole
 Sweet justice at last
This was just weird

So now with the season over I'm not sure what's going to happen next. Are they going to somewhat follow the books as in Elena gets kidnapped and we enter the world of witches and demi demons?? Or what?? Well I know I will tune in, keep an eye out for any news on this show and if you hear any rumblings leave a comment.

Now for the sad one

Being Human Series Finale

Do not trust crazy little girls in corduroy jumpers

This is so sad. I was not happy when Syfy decided to cancel Being Human. I know that Sally can be annoying sometimes and that where else and what else could they do to Aiden, Nora and Josh but I was happy with where they were but I am also happy with how they ended it. Spoilers, turn back if you can lol

Aidan no!!!!

I was sad that within the first five minutes Sally was gone, giving her soul to Aiden. And surprise by her sacrifice Aidan started aging and aging. Oh plus the reason Sally gave Aidan her soul is so he could (A) be human again and (b) save josh from the houses influence on Aidan, where Aidan almost killed Josh. So knowing that he was going to die, Aidan to protect anybody who enters their old, possessed house, he was thrown down the stairs hitting his head exactly where Sally died the first time and in his dying seconds he lit his lighter and burned the house down saving everybody. Aidan then returns as a ghost and he gets his door to move on, after the goodbyes he walks through to find his true love, Sally waiting for him. Tears :( Now with the house destroyed Josh and Nora move on with their lives and at the very end it shows them dreaming about Aidan and Sally and when they awake they scoop up their children Sally and Aidan and move on with their lives. Good ending, sad but good.

 Finally together
Where are the kids??

So, that is all folks!!!!!

Week of March 3 to 7th

Okay so the last couple weeks the TV world was on hiatus a little due to the Olympics and now since we're back to normal programming I can tell you what I think.

The Walking Dead:

So everybody is still separated, Beth and Darryl are still together; Rick, Carl and Michonne are still together; Glenn is still with that girl from The Governor's team trying to find Maggie and they also have met up with new people who look like ginger GI Joe, GI Joe Barbie and mister mullet Redneck. I'm not sure about Maggie and her group, or Carol and the girls. But right now I have no idea where the show is head and sometimes that's a good thing and a bad thing, but I will always tune in for it.

Bitten:

With Bitten I'm enjoying it. At first they were kind of staying close to the books but now, they are way off and I think that was their plan. Kelley Armstrong the author, has wrote on her Facebook page that the show is loosely based on books and there have been not so nice comments left on her wall. It's not really fair that people are so upset about it. At the beginning I didn't like some of the actors brought on for the characters and I know that happens when people love the books so much but I'm not freaking out about it. People need to relax and if they are so upset with the choices that the show's creators and producers are making then stop watching it and let people, like myself, who are enjoying it, enjoy it. I guess you can't make everyone happy.

Being Human:

I know with my last post about Being Human I told you that if there are people out there not watching it to watch it, and that is still true but I found out last week that they have cancelled the show and this is the last season ending in April. I was shocked because I thought a lot of people where watching it because it's fantastic but apparently there aren't. I hope that maybe Netflix or one of those online TV channels might buy it up and continue on but I don't think it's going to happen. So I hope that it ends on a high note and believe me how the last couple of weeks have been going it should.

Supernatural:

It just came back from a little hiatus which is great but I was disappointed with the last episode. I thought it was going to be fantastic because GhostFacers were back but it just seemed like a filler episode. I'm also getting so tired of seeing Sam and Dean hate each other so much. It's just sad.

The Following:

If there is anyone out there not watching this show you need to start, immediately. This show is amazing. The cast is perfect, the writing and plot are amazing, so amazing that you truthfully have no idea what is going to happen next, it changes like that and I love it. I would classify this show as a combination of Dexter and Criminal Minds and it works perfectly.

Helix:

I am behind by a couple episodes and I will catch up hopefully this weekend.

Movie Review:

300 - Rise of an Empire

Okay I went last night with a couple of friends and my movie experience started off kind of embarrassing when I dumped half of bag of popcorn on the poor guy in front of me. Sorry :( I felt like a complete ass and couldn't stop apologizing and the funny thing is he ate the popcorn that landed on his lap, lol.
We ended up watching it in 3D plus the theatre we were at had these seats called D Boxes, and for those who don't know what those are they shake and vibrate along with the movie, and even though we didn't sit in those seats we actually sat across from them we still go to feel it and it was kind of cool. I think I will try the D Boxes, maybe for Captain America.

Okay so for the movie it was good. I watched 300 the night before getting all prepared for it and the second installment was not bad. Very bloody, but with the type of movie it is it should be expected. I liked the aspect that it shows what the rest of Greece is doing while the 300 Spartans march towards their doom. I also like the back story of how the King God became like that and his reasoning of why to attack Greece.

Overall it was a good movie, with a good amount of action. So I give it the 'V' stamp of approval.

To end this entry I have to say RIP Harold Ramis, you will be missed.

Week of Feb 10th to 16th

So overall not a too crazy week in my world. Work, sleep, repeat, boo!! But The Walking Dead is back and that's a plus, a big plus. So here we go!!

1. The Walking Dead
We have two episodes to get through
Episode 9

This was the mid-season premiere of Season 4. I really hated that we had to wait so long but I'm happy it's not as long of a wait as the show Sherlock (2 years between Season 2 and Season 3). This episode focused on the aftermath of the Prison being taken over by walkers. Everybody gets separated and we come across Rick and Carl. Carl is beyond pissed off a Rick, who is beaten and severely injured from his fight with the Governor. They find refuge in a house and surprise Carl doesn't stay where he's supposed to and Rick couldn't do anything due to succumbing to his injuries (well at the time you may think he dies but he's Rick, he's good). Carl like usual does things he's not supposed to which means he gets trapped and almost bitten by Walkers but he manages to escape and it concludes with him almost shooting Rick due to thinking Rick is dead, then there was a knock on the door.

Episode 10

This episode opens with Beth and Darryl. They are just wandering around trying to not get bit without any intended destination. Next you come across the little girls from the jail and the big guy Tyreese and Tyreese turns and you see that he has Judith, thank goodness. Judith keeps crying which brings the Walkers closer and closer and Tyreese runs off to help some other people and that's when Carol finds the girls and Judith. They find out that there is a town up ahead off the tracks offering a safe place. That's the way they headed. Next was Glenn. I though at the mid season finale he was on the bus but apparently he got off the bus going back for Maggie and he wakes up on top of a broken bridge surrounded by Walkers. He makes it back into the jail where he loads up with his SWAT gear and heads out and finds a girl from the Governors group. They both leave searching for others. Maggie, Sasha, and Bob find the bus completely filled with Walkers. Maggie thinks the worst that Glenn is on there so they let the Walkers out and she finds out the good news.

2. So after reading my blog entry last week over I noticed that I forgot Supernatural. I can't believe I would forget my boys.

So like usual Sam and Dean are fighting. In the first episode of the Season Sam was dying due to the trials from last season. Sam was gravely ill and Dean did what he had to to save him. An angel said that he could possess Sam and heal him and once Sam was healed he would leave. The Angel who gave a false name lied, who knew Angels could lie. Sam did get better slowly but the Angel still had some control. While the boys did their normal case work Castiel, who is now human, went out on his own. He started working at a Variety Store and he even ended up getting laid, you go Case, you go. LOL. Well Case ended up stealing another's Angel's grace and became one of the Angels again. Now as Sam and Dean solved cases Crowley who is imprisoned at their lair helped from the side lines. No I know Crowley is a bad guy but I love Crowley, he's hilarious. The Angel that possessed Sam started working with Metatron, who is a bad guy, and poor Kevin got stuck in the crossfire.

3. Bitten
Episode 6

At the end of the last episode Elena went back to Toronto for her boyfriend's sister's wedding. While she was there Clayton and Jeremy had an unwelcome guest who tried to challenge Jeremy for Pack King. Jeremy won and he got Clayton to rip out the mutt's teeth. Clayton, who is trying to become more of a man than werewolf, for Elena to win her back called her upset with what he was doing and that pulled on my heart strings a little. Daniel Santos, one the of rogue mutts, showed up to the wedding. He has some fascination with Elena, and I get it she's the only female werewolf.
Now to go off the show. I've read the books and I have noticed that they have stayed somewhat true until this one. I knew that this would happen, this always happens with books that are made into movies and tv shows, they all go off at some point. Now I'm fine with it, I want to see where it goes but I was on Facebook today and since I follow Kelley Armstrong (the writer of the book series) she mentioned the back lash for Saturday's episode. People you know how this goes, movies and TV shows rarely stay true to the books and if they did they would be incredibly long. It would be nice but it's just not plausible. So watch it and don't judge it until the end. :)

4. Being Human
I totally recommend this show for lovers of the supernatural and paranormal world. You get a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf living together, it's great. Josh and Nora end up throwing a impromptu baby shower for their new werewolf friends but it turns out to be a big raging party for a pack of werewolves. Josh's sister, who is a recovering alcoholic, shows up and starts to have a panic attack since she's trying to stay away from alcohol. With all the werewolf people there it gets a little awkward when Aidan and Kenny show up drunk on blood and that's when the party gets started. Aidan is all depressed because him and Kat broke up but it was funny watching Aidan all care free. Now Sally, who should not be doing any magic at all, decides to try to help Josh's sister she gets sent back to the roaring 20's and see's a side of Aidan that she never wants to see again.

5. Robocop

Okay so on Saturday when we were at the theatre the plan wasn't Robocop but it was on. I was never a huge fan of the first one and I really had no desire to watch this one other than on video later on but I did. I wouldn't consider this as a remake more of a reboot, or re-imagining of Robocop. The story is kind of similar but at the same time not a all. I'm pretty sure in the first Robocop his family dies well this one their still alive. I think the common thing was in both movies Murphy a.k.a Robocop is a good cop and follows the rules and ends up dealing with the wrong people and dirty cops.
The movie was okay, the parts where they show what is left of him in human ways was completely unbelievable and a little stupid but the action parts of the movie were decent. I've seen better but I have seen worse. So if you end up at the theatre and there is nothing else on in the action movie department, watch it and judge for yourself.

Until next week, toodles.

Sunday, 9 February 2014

Okay Okay!!

Okay Okay, I know I haven't been around posting anything lately and that is due to trying to get caught up on my writing, I'm trying to finish my first teen book and the fourth book of the Lilly Reed Series.

I've decided that I'm going to just make one post a week talking about everything I want to get off my chest.

This post is going to be longer because I haven't been on here for awhile so here we go:

1. American Horror Story - Well I enjoyed this season a lot more than the second season Asylum. This season was a written better, acted better, just an overall better show, but truthfully even though I loved the idea of witches and stuff like that the first season was by far the best.  FX Canada

 2. The Walking Dead: Seriously can this show get any better. I am so in love with this show. I love that there are moments where you shed tears and there are moments that leave you sitting on the edge of your sofa, bouncing up and down not knowing what comes next. The second half of the season starts tonight and even though I don't have AMC I will be watching it tomorrow :( I hate that I have to wait but Bell charges way to much for a channel that is part of Rogers normal package, that doesn't make sense.... Stopping there I will stop my rant :) If you are reading this and you don't watch The Walking Dead, do it, do it now. LOL Peer pressure. The first season is a little slow but believe me it picks up and gets amazing. AMC

 3. Witches of East End: So one day I was channel surfing and I came across this commercial for this new show about witches. It kind of reminded me of Charmed and I loved Charmed so I thought 'Let's give it a go' and I was pleasantly surprised. The season is short but fantastic and I totally recommend it for anyone who loves witches and who loved the show Charmed. Lifetime

4. Helix: Again came across the commercial and thought it kind of reminded me of the movie The Thing and thought well this would be a good show to watch when nothing else is on and I was surprised that it's actually pretty good. Syfy

5. Being Human: Fourth Season just started a couple weeks ago and wow. This season is crazy and we're only a couple episodes in so I can't wait to see what other messed up and strange things they bring this season.Syfy & Space

6. Bitten: Okay so when Space mentioned that they would be adapting the Kelley Armstrong novel Bitten into a TV show I thought 'Oh god no.' I'm a huge Kelley Armstrong fan, I love her books Women of the Otherworld and I was worried about them chopping apart the book and doing it wrong. The book is about the only werewolf woman in existence and her pack. I hummed and haahed about it for weeks then I watched the first episode, meh. Plus I don't know about anybody else out there but have you read a book and found a guy or girl character that makes you swoon and you fall head over heels for a fictional character, well that happened to me. The character is Clayton Danvers and he's fantastic but the actor that is playing him is not him, he's not what I pictured. Now we're into the 5th episode and I'm starting to like him more and more but he's still not Clayton. I will continue to watch it, I have even found that I look forward to watching it weekly. Space & Syfy

7. Doctor Who: I know my blog is called Living Dead Girl - Blogger about things that go bump in the night - and that may not include SciFi stuff like Doctor Who but I love Doctor Who. I'm obsessed with Doctor Who. On November 23 was the 50th Anniversary for Doctor Who and a good friend of mine got me tickets to it in 3D and it was amazing. Then on Christmas was Matt Smith's last episode, it was a good farewell, an too early farewell, but a good farewell. Space

8. The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaueg - Excellent movie, I enjoyed it thoroughly but I have heard from die hard Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fans that even though the movie was good it really had nothing to do with the book and that Evangline Lilly's character wasn't even part of the book. I've tried to read the Lord of the Rings books but I failed, I found them to be boring. Maybe one day I'll try again.

9. Last is I, Frankenstein - Worst movie I possibly have seen. I actually fell asleep twice as we watched it. I thought by having the same feel as the Underworld movies that this would be good and boy was I wrong. The acting was horrible, the plot was horrible - Gargoyles VS Demons, that doesn't even make sense. Well I wish I could get my money back and my time wasted watching this piece of crap so this movie get a 'F' in my books

Okay well I think that's it. I could be missing some since I haven't done this in a while but I will update weekly or bi-weekly.

Ciao :)

Being Human Season 3 Episode 3

Being Human Season 3 Episode 3

Episode 3 The Teens They Are A Changin'

At the ending of the last episode Sally and Josh walk outside to find that ? was dead. Sally feeling totally horrible heads to the funeral home hoping to run into his ghost. And boy does she. Sally tries to make things right but he doesn't accept her apology, well can you blame him, she knew that she had to stay away from the people that knew her when she was alive and look what happens.
Josh then shows up to the storage unit to propose but when he gets there he can see that she ripped through the door and got out. Josh searches high and low for Nora and he and Sally even start calling every hospital looking for her then after a bit Nora comes walking in the door telling Josh that the twins have a father and that he's here. At work Josh comes across a young runaway with scratches from a werewolf and after discussing it Nora and Josh decide to bring her home and Josh plays the video of him changing. At dark Nora takes the girl out to the woods to change.
Aidan continues his search for clean blood with Henry and they are not having much luck.
With out giving up too much information for the ones who haven't seen this episode, at the end there is an awesome twist with this so called witch.

Can't wait for the next episode!!!

Being Human US Season 3 Episodes 1 & 2

Being Human US Season 3 Episodes 1 & 2

So I love, love, love this show. I missed the first episode last week and had to watch it online and OMG. It was an emotional roller-coaster.

So a little introduction to the series (For those who have no idea about this show). The show follows three people, well sort of people. There's Josh who is a werewolf, Aidan a vampire and Sally a ghost. Josh and Aidan work at a hospital together (I know weird right?) when they decide that they want to live as human as possible so they get a place together. Well this place is haunted by Sally who used to live there with her fiance, well before she was killed.

This is the Season 1 Promo which gives you an idea about the show:

Now let's talk about Season 3. Well it's opened with a bang, a big bang :)

CONTAINS SPOILERS, IF YOU ARE JUST STARTING OUT WITH THIS SHOW, TURN BACK

LAST CHANCE!

Okay don't say I didn't warn you

Episode 1 It's a Shame About Ray

Well fifteen months have gone by. Josh is human, Sally's gone to Limbo and Aidan is buried six feet under. We find out that Josh and Nora (who is still a werewolf) have spent the last fifteen months trying to find Aidan by interrogating vampires and also trying to bring Sally back from Limbo. Finally after meeting a psychic they get sent to a witch. She tells them that she can bring Sally back but it won't be Sally the ghost, it will be bringing her back from the dead completely. The witch gives Josh and Nora a list of supplies she needs, she needs the heart of someone Josh killed (that would be Ray {the guy that turned Josh into a werewolf} his heart) and she needed Sally's body. So Josh and Nora take off with their shovels in tow and dig up two bodies and ripping the heart from one. After giving the witch all the ingredients she begins to work her magic and after what she calls throwing the line to Sally in Limbo they wait for Sally to catch the line. After a little bit Sally does but she brings two guests with her. At the end Sally wakes up and tells Josh that she brought Stevie and Nick back with her. Now to Aidan who has been buried underground this whole time, well someone finally digs him out. This is a human who sets Aidan up in a basement and begins to drain the small remaining drops of blood out of him because during those months that Aidan was buried the vampires caught a disease and they were all dying off and since Aidan hasn't been tainted with that disease his blood is worth money. He is eventually rescued by one of Amish brothers and he feeds on Aidan but the disease ends up killing him while on the road and crashing the vehicle causing Aidan to fly out the front windshield. He laid there saying over and over again that he was not going to die but at the very end when he completely stopped moving he came back holding himself to his word of not dying.
Great season opener!!!!

Episode 2 (Dead) Girls Just Want to Have Fun

The episode starts with seeing Sally, Stevie, Nick, Nick's girlfriend and Josh talking. We find out that after Sally woke up and after she told Josh about bringing Stevie and Nick with her so they had to go out and perform the same ritual on their bodies like they had to do with Sally. Stevie goes off on his own and Nick goes off with his girlfriend after being warned to stay away from people from their past. Aidan finally makes it to a phone and calls Josh and they go to bring Aidan who is starving home. Aidan seems off but he's back and that's all they care about. Sally who has been without an actually physical body for so long can't wait to get out to do anything so she talks Josh into going out as Nora locks herself into their changing storage room for her change tonight. At the bar someone from Sally's past shows up and recognizes her and after making something up she decides on bailing with this guy as Josh heads home. Aidan goes out to feed but since almost all the humans are tainted Aidan got setup by some werewolves but he gets rescued by an old friend. This old friend seems happy in his new life but all isn't what it seems. Sally who didn't do anything more than kissing this person from her past comes skipping down the stairs to find Josh who was sitting there all night. He tells her that he's ready to propose to Nora and as he started getting ready to go they hear police cars outside so run to check it out and see Sally's friend dead. After putting two and two together they realize that he died because Sally kissed him. Oh my.

Can't wait until next week!!
