Dates To Remember For 2013

Dates To Remember For 2013

So I was sifting through the Geek Board Pins on Pinterest and came across this gem. This picture lists off possibly every good movie coming out this year (you may disagree with some of them, well I do).

For me I will list the movies I want to see:

Warm Bodies
Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer & John Malkovich
After a zombie becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims, their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world. IMDB

World War Z
Brad Pitt
A U.N. employee is racing against time and fate, as he travels the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly Zombie pandemic. IMDB
(PS Brad Pitt + Zombies = Hell Ya)

Fast & Furious 6
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker
Just another Fast & Furious movie. The last two have been awesome so if they bring back what they did in those last couple movies it should be great.

The Host
Saorise Ronan, Diane Kruger
A parasitic alien soul is injected into the body of Melanie Stryder. Instead of carrying out her race's mission of taking over the Earth, "Wanda" (as she comes to be called) forms a bond with her host and sets out to aid other free humans. IMDB
(I have read this book and recommend that anybody who wants to see this movie please, please read the book first)

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
Martin Freeman, Ian McKellan
The Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf have successfully escaped the Misty Mountains, and Bilbo has gained the One Ring. They all continue their journey to get their gold back from the Dragon, Smaug.
(I have watched the first Hobbit movie and I'm a fan of The Lord of the Rings movies so I will check this one out)

Star Trek: Into Darkness
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto
After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. IMDB
(I really enjoyed the first one except I found it a little long but other than that awesome special effects. Can't wait)

Riddick
Vin Diesel
Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, Riddick finds himself up against an alien race of predators. Activating an emergency beacon alerts two ships: one carrying a new breed of mercenary, the other captained by a man from Riddick's past. IMDB
(I have liked the other Riddick movies - Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick - plus this one starts off right after The Chronicles of Riddick left off so can't wait.

Man of Steel
Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe
An alien infant is raised on Earth, and grows up with superhuman abilities. He sets out to use these abilities to guard his adopted world. IMDB
(So another take on Superman, let's hope it's better than their last attempt)

Iron Man 3
Robert Downey Jr, Gwenth Paltrow
Marvel's "Iron Man 3" pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds (Mandarin). When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. IMDB
(Iron Man 3, yes please. I've seen the trailer for it and amazing, I can't wait.)

Kick Ass 2
Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse
The costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, the Red Mist plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows. IMDB
(I enjoyed the first one so let's see)

Hangover Part 3
Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifiankis
This time, there's no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off. IMDB
(This one I'm unsure about because the first one was hilarious, the second on was okay and the third, I don't know, maybe I'll wait for video)

GI Joe Retaliation
Channing Tatum, The Rock
The G.I. Joe's are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. IMDB
(It took me a long time to even admit that I found the first one to be enjoyable but I found myself watching it every time it came on TV so again even though I don't want to admit it I'm kind of excited for the second one but I'm a little uneasy since they pushed it back from last summer to this March, hmmm, that's strange)

The Mortal Instruments
City of Bones - Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower
When her mom is attacked and taken from their home in New York City by a demon, a seemingly ordinary teenage girl, Clary Fray, finds out truths about her past and bloodline on her quest to get her back, that changes her entire life. IMDB
(Again this is a similar one to the host, not the plot but as in you should read the book first. This is actually one of my favorite young adult series and I recommend anyone who enjoys a good read to check these books out by Cassandra Clare.)

Thor
Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Christopher Eccelston
Thor battles an ancient race of Dark Elves led by the vengeful Malekith who threatens to plunge the universe back into darkness after the events of The Avengers. IMDB
(Okay so I'm excited for this because of a couple different reasons. First is I love Thor and The Avengers so that's number one of why I'm excited and number two is Christopher Eccleston is going to be in it and he played the ninth doctor on Doctor Who, which is one of my favorite shows)

The Wolverine
Hugh Jackman
Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior. IMDB
(Okay so I'm pumped for this because I love the X-Men movies plus Hugh Jackman as Wolvernine, swoon.)

RED 2
Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren
Frank Moses and his motley crew of retired assassins return for a second outing. IMDB
(I love, love, love the first movie and I have a girl crush on Helen Mirren, she's just so fabulous. Can't wait.)

Well I know I do a lot of paranormal and supernatural stuff on this site but I am a very diverse movie lover (except westerns and very sappy chick flicks, can't do it). So I hope everybody who checks this post out agrees with my pics or disagrees. If I've missed any other potential movies of 2013 please leave a comment and I'll add them.
